Park Forest, located in the north west city core of Dallas, Texas, is a late 1950s residential community situated south of LBJ Freeway (635), North of Northaven Lane, East of Cromwell, and West of Marsh Lane. It also includes Cromwell Circle and Cromwell Court.

Park Forest is known for its Mid-Century ranches and abundance of trees thanks to the original developers, Fox & Jacobs, whom in the 1950’s planted 2 trees free per lot.  Many of the original home buyers purchased their own leading to “Forest” type feeling. Also, Park Forest has its own Swim Club.

Surrounded by major transportation arteries such as LBJ (635), I-35, The Dallas North Tollway, and Northwest Highway, it’s easy to get anywhere in the city from Park Forest making it an ideal location to live for commuters.

Somewhat of a renaissance is happening in Park Forest with original owners moving out and new families and singles moving in and doing extensive remodeling in this area.

Schools

Public schools for the neighborhood are DeGoyler Elementary, Marsh Middle School, and W.T. White High School. Private schools nearby include The Hockaday School, The Lamplighter School, St. Rita Catholic School, Jesuit College Preparatory School, Episcopal School of Dallas, Greenhill School and Parish Episcopal School.

Organizations such as The Westhollow Society are pushing along major new developments of commercial and recreation and mixed-use developments.
